Happy Tax Day!!! For those who are certain businesses, I hope you submitted your taxes on time. As a business owner, some businesses pay taxes in March while others pay in April. That is why, as a business owner, you should know which filing date applies to you. If you have questions, please call or visit the IRS, contact your financial accountant or call a business or tax lawyer. All of them will guide you to the tax laws and regulations governing when you have to file taxes as a business owner, the appropriate forms to file, what to do if you need a filing extension and if that comes with penalties or not. The most important thing to remember is the recordkeeping. Please keep detailed records which will assist you once they notify you of an audit. If you need assistance with recordkeeping, please give me a call.
